Who We Are
Thermo Coustics Limited was founded in 1967, helmed by Arnold Cline. The company started with three employees and began as a distributor specializing in architecturally approved products specific to the construction industry. One of the earlier projects back in the early seventies was the installation of the largest folding gymnasium divider in the British Empire at Cambrian College in Sudbury. It is 35 feet high and 120 feet long.
Arnold instilled an excellent work ethic in his children. His eldest son, John, began working for the company in 1967, unloading rail cars at the company’s first location on Oak Street in North Bay. Younger brother, Tom, began with the company in 1977, sweeping floors and performing general labour. With Arnold’s retirement, the company was passed on to John and Tom and together have amassed a formidable working knowledge and expertise of the construction industry.
They have continued to grow the business, serving Northern Ontario by employing a skilled team specializing in interior finishing, insulation, firestopping, fireproofing and construction specialties. Their team building skills are evident by the multi-generational families that are now part of the Thermo Coustics’ team. Their employee’s longevity with the company is a testament to the core values set out by the Cline family and their commitment to providing exceptional construction services to the North Bay area.
